S.J.Res. 217 — A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval of the proposed foreign military sale to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of certain defense articles and services.

This section authorizes the sale of forty-eight F–35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter aircraft with conventional takeoff and landing, forty-nine Pratt & Whitney F135–PW–100 engines, and associated non-major defense equipment including cryptographic devices, secure communications and navigation systems, electronic warfare support, spare parts, training equipment and simulators, software, technical documentation, and logistics services, as described in Transmittal No. 26–69.
