S. 5596 — Military DEI Repeal Act of 2026

This section authorizes the Secretary of Defense to require or prohibit members of the armed forces and Department of Defense civilian employees from identifying their gender or personal pronouns in official correspondence. It eliminates diversity requirements for selection boards under sections 573, 612, and 14102 of title 10. It limits human relations training to honor, excellence, courage, and commitment.
