S. 5523 — Measuring Illicit Fentanyl Trafficking Act

This section directs the Secretary of Homeland Security, within one year of enactment, to ensure that each Department component engaged in the detection, deterrence, and seizure of illicit fentanyl shares relevant information and data with other such components and identifies barriers to sharing. It also requires the Secretary to establish performance metrics for these activities that align with Department strategic objectives.
