S. 5401 — Good Energy Jobs Act of 2026

This section requires recipients of Department of Energy financial assistance for covered projects to pay prevailing wages to laborers and mechanics and to ensure that at least 15 percent of total labor hours are performed by participants in registered apprenticeship programs. It further requires recipients to certify labor neutrality on union organizing and bargaining, directs the Secretary to review compliance and impose corrective actions such as withholding or terminating assistance for violations, and mandates annual public reporting of aggregate compliance and enforcement data.
