S. 5258 — PREFERRED Screening Act

This section establishes a Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation payment model to reimburse eligible providers for furnishing comprehensive breast cancer risk assessments and developing personalized screening and risk-reduction plans for eligible individuals. The model must begin no later than 2 years after enactment and prioritize providers in the 10 states with the highest breast cancer mortality rates among women, health professional shortage areas, and medically underserved areas.
