S. 5114 — PATH Act

This section expands ridership forecasting options for fixed guideway capital investment grants. Recipients may use methods that account for population density, population growth rate, and development planning activities as described in MAP–21 section 20005(b)(2). The provision also requires selection of whichever population factor—density or growth rate—is most beneficial to the project, along with current public transportation ridership in the corridor.
