This section requires the Secretary of the Treasury to submit annual reports, beginning 12 months after enactment, to the House Ways and Means Committee and Senate Finance Committee on IRS efforts to identify, prevent, and resolve each type of tax fraud, including first-person and stolen identity refund fraud. The reports must detail interactions with Security Summit members and non-participating tax filing providers, include numerical data on fraud amounts by form and filing method, and quantify erroneous and prevented refund disbursements; redacted data must be posted on the IRS website. It also provides that the report required under section 7803(c)(2)(B) of the Internal Revenue Code does not satisfy the complexity analysis mandate under section 4022 of the Internal Revenue Service Restructuring and Reform Act of 1998.
