No CRS summary available for this bill.
This section establishes a grant and contract program, administered by the Secretary of Health and Human Services through the Health Resources and Services Administration, that awards funds to accredited health professions schools, academic health centers, and other eligible safety-net providers to expand clinical training in abortion care for students, residents, and advanced practice clinicians in covered states that permit such training. It requires priority for entities located in states that allow comprehensive abortion training, those that train providers from states where training is restricted, and minority-serving institutions; directs use of funds for clinical training activities focused on underserved populations, telehealth, interprofessional education, partnerships, recruitment and retention, instructor support, transition to practice, and scholarships or stipends; and mandates annual entity reports and congressional summaries on trainee numbers, partnerships, and program outcomes without disclosing patient or provider identities.
