This section requires the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, in consultation with the Secretary of Defense, to submit a report and provide a briefing to the House and Senate Armed Services and Veterans' Affairs Committees within 18 months after enactment on how military sexual trauma and intimate partner violence affect suicidal ideation and suicide risks for members of the Armed Forces and veterans, and to publish the report on a publicly available website. It further requires both Secretaries to incorporate those findings as risk factors into the VA/DoD Clinical Practice Guidelines for Assessment and Management of Patients at Risk for Suicide within one year after the report's publication.
