S. 4789 — Blue Star Mothers Day Act

This section states congressional findings that Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc., was founded on February 1, 1942, in Flint, Michigan, and chartered by Congress under Public Law 86–653 (74 Stat. 515) for its support of military families and patriotic service.

This section designates February 1 as Blue Star Mothers Day. It encourages private citizens, organizations, and federal, state, and local governmental and legislative entities to recognize the day through proclamations, activities, and educational efforts honoring the service, sacrifice, and contributions of Blue Star Mothers.
