This section revises the multigenerational activities grant program under the Older Americans Act to require projects that develop, carry out, and promote participation in multigenerational activities serving older individuals and younger generations. It expands volunteer opportunities to include facilities serving older or younger individuals, removes the prior requirement to facilitate development of and participation in such activities, eliminates the initial preference for organizations with a demonstrated record of carrying out these projects, shifts the baseline date for required reports to the date the first grant is awarded after enactment of the Multigenerational Care and Support Act, directs those reports to the Senate HELP Committee and House Education and Workforce Committee, and adds multipurpose senior centers, long-term care facilities, and other residential facilities for older individuals to the list of eligible program sites.
