This section requires the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Secretary of State, to complete an assessment of United States and foreign partner air and missile defense systems and interceptors in the United States Central Command area of responsibility and submit a report to the congressional defense committees within 180 days, including inventories, production rates, systems expended or damaged since October 7, 2023, and gaps in United States production capacity. It also requires submission of a strategy and implementation plan for multinational cooperation on air and missile defense acquisition within 180 days. It establishes the Multilateral Middle East Missile and Drone Defense Working Group within 120 days to share battlefield lessons and integrate findings into regional planning.
