S. 1257 — A bill to amend the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to authorize the use of funds for certain additional Carey Act projects, and for other purposes.

This section expands eligibility for funding under section 40901(2)(B) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to rehabilitate, reconstruct, or replace any dams developed and operating under the Carey Act (43 U.S.C. 641). It authorizes such funding only after the Secretary determines that all dams meeting the original criteria—construction begun on or after January 1, 1905, gubernatorial request, and estimated costs exceeding $50,000,000—have received necessary funding and that amounts remain available.
