“Reaffirming the commitment of the House of Representatives to preserve and expand pathways to citizenship.”
No CRS summary available for this bill.
This section expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that a fair, efficient, and humane United States immigration system must include pathways to citizenship for undocumented long-term residents, humanitarian protections including broad asylum access, and expanded legal family and employment pathways. It further states that the system must address militarized enforcement, 3- and 10-year bars on family unity, restrictions on humanitarian protections, visa caps and country limits, exploitative temporary visas, barriers to services and benefits, and unequal service to children, people of color, people with disabilities, and those fleeing violence, and that Congress must overhaul the system to uphold human rights and constitutional protections.
