It encourages healthcare professionals to consider fungal causes when evaluating pneumonia-like illness, meningitis, sepsis, or unexplained symptoms after environmental or occupational exposures, and it recognizes Valley Fever, Candida auris, and other serious fungal infections as growing public health concerns requiring expanded surveillance, education, outbreak response, diagnostics, and research.
