H.R. 9723 — Fit Future Act

This section establishes the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, consisting of up to 30 members appointed by the President for 2-year terms, to advise the President and the Secretary of Health and Human Services and recommend strategies to implement the Presidential Fitness Test, expand youth sports access including for individuals with disabilities, reduce costs and burnout, promote adaptive fitness and nutrition, and address childhood obesity as a national security threat to workforce and military readiness. It designates an executive director, requires administrative support from the Department of Health and Human Services subject to appropriations, and terminates the Council on a date set by the President.
