It authorizes grants to state, local, Tribal, territorial, and accredited health education entities for early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination. It authorizes $10 million annually for FY2027 through FY2031.
This section directs the Secretary to develop and carry out a national awareness, education, and outreach program on menopausal symptoms, mid-life women’s health, and related care and treatment. The program requires dissemination of materials and technical assistance to providers and patients, identification of risk factors, culturally appropriate outreach to Tribes, customization by state and local health departments, prioritization of underserved areas, coordination with existing HHS activities, and maintenance of a website with educational resources, and authorizes $10 million annually for fiscal years 2027 through 2031.

This section requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to submit an annual report, beginning two years after enactment, on federal research activities, data gaps, barriers to care, and best practices related to perimenopause, menopause, and mid-life women’s health, as well as a one-time report on health disparities and barriers to access and treatment. It authorizes such sums as necessary to be appropriated for fiscal years 2027 through 2031.
