This section directs the Director of the National Institutes of Health to evaluate published evidence on hormone level variability in women before perimenopause symptoms and any baseline patterns in such variability. It requires the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force to review evidence on the clinical utility of hormone testing, including whether pre-symptom baseline levels inform perimenopause diagnosis or management. The agencies must submit a joint report with findings, evidence gaps, and recommendations to the House and Senate Appropriations Committees, the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and the Senate HELP Committee within 18 months of enactment.
