No CRS summary available for this bill.
This section establishes a competitive grant program under which the Secretary awards funds to eligible entities, including veterinary colleges, school districts, 4-H and FFA organizations, and veterinary clinics, to create, develop, expand, or scale high school work-based learning curricula focused on veterinary medicine in states with veterinarian shortage situations. It authorizes such sums as may be necessary, requires annual reporting on student enrollment, graduation rates, attendance, and post-program education and employment outcomes, and directs the Secretary to prioritize programs that provide substantial experience with livestock or large animals and clear pathways into large-animal or food-animal veterinary careers.
