H.R. 10568 — Protecting Biological Data as Critical Infrastructure Act

This section expands the responsibilities of the Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to oversee planning and coordination for genetic data systems involving genomic sequences and other sensitive biometric data, provide related training to Federal personnel, treat such systems as critical infrastructure, consult and collaborate with U.S. biotechnology stakeholders on security protocols, and add genetic and biometric data security to Agency duties.
