H.R. 10504 — CURE Act

This section excludes marihuana from the definition of controlled substance under 50 U.S.C. 3343. It prohibits federal agencies from considering past marihuana use when determining eligibility for a security clearance or suitability for federal employment. It requires each agency to establish a publicly available review process within one year of enactment to reassess denials made on or after January 1, 2008, and to decide reconsideration requests within 90 days.
