H.R. 10230 — Strengthening Oversight for the Financial Sector Act of 2026

This section reactivates the National Credit Union Administration Board's authority to regulate and examine credit union organizations and service providers, which had expired on December 31, 2001. It requires notifications to the Board in a manner and method prescribed by the Board.

This section extends the regulatory and examination authority of the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency to service providers performing permissible activities for a regulated entity or the Office of Finance, as if performed by the entity itself. It requires the entity or Office to notify the Director within 30 days of entering a service contract or the start of performance, and preserves state jurisdiction over such providers.
