“To amend the charter of the Reserve Organization of the United States, and for other purposes.”
No CRS summary available for this bill.
This section renames the Reserve Officers Association of the United States as the Reserve Organization of America, a federally chartered corporation with perpetual existence. It sets the corporation’s purposes as supporting a military policy that provides adequate national security, establishes rules for membership, governance, powers, exclusive use of its name and emblems, prohibitions on profit-making, stock issuance, political contributions, and loans to officers, and requires recordkeeping, a registered agent in the District of Columbia, and liability for authorized acts of officers and agents. It deems all references to the former name as references to the new name.
