This section supports the designation of “National Falls Prevention Awareness Week” and recognizes proven, cost-effective falls prevention programs and policies. It supports collaborative work by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Administration for Community Living, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and other federal, state, and local entities to reduce falls among older adults, and encourages continued federal investments in such programs.
